The Children’s Closet, dedicated to providing clothing and shoes to disadvantaged women and children in communities across Ghana, is the latest initiative of the Ceciyaa Foundation.
The “Closet” project sprang to life as Ceciyaa founder, Francis Aduoffei observed that many of the people near his home in Ghana are without adequate clothing and shoes. He felt compelled to find a way to meet the needs that he saw and began formulating a plan. As he began to tell everyone he met about his desire to meet this need, donations of clothing and shoes began to come in. He enlisted the assistance of his church family at First Christian Church of Burkburnett, Texas and with the help of the pastor, Judy Brock and the congregation, Aduoffei was able to secure storage facilities to house the growing inventory of clothes and shoes. Donations are currently being accepted in several American cities and will expand as the foundation recruits volunteers to coordinate clothing drives in their areas. In addition to the thousands of items of clothing that have been donated for the people of Ghana, Francis Aduoffei is donating his pickup truck for use in distributing the clothing. Having a truck will greatly facilitate the distribution of the clothing once it reaches Ghana. To help with this mission, please contact Mr. Aduoffei at (940)642-1367 or First Christian Church at (940)569-2062 for info. Clothing for men, women and children is accepted.
